Hey y’all!

I’ve been subscribing to Ipsy for about 6 months now. So far, I’ve been interested in about 95% of what I’ve received (those are pretty good stats). However, there are products that I use pretty regularly which I’ve rounded up for this post!

1. M. A. D’s Spot On Skin Brightening Serum

If I’ve said it once, I’ve said it a million times; I have oily skin. Though the experts say the excess of oil in my skin will help me age more slowly, it also leads to clogged pores…yuck! Adult acne is real y’all! And, I’m a pimple popper which can lead to darks spots. Since I was about 14 years old, I’ve incorporated some kind of dark spot clearing agent into my skincare routine; not because I necessarily knew what I was doing, but because I saw my mom doing it (shout out to my mama! She’s 52 and looks amazing. Hey ma!). Needless to say, I’ve reaped the benefits of this routine act over the years. So, when this dark spot clearing serum arrived, I was down to give it a try. Honestly, it was more effective then I imagined. I had a pimple that I’d recently popped, and the resulting dark spot faded significantly after two applications of this serum. Since it is on the pricey side ($42 a bottle), I’m only using it on an as needed basis to make it last as long as possible. However, I could see myself investing in a full bottle when I’m out.

2. Seraphine Botanical’s Lychee + Gold Healthy Glow Rose Gold Blush

This blush is sooo pretty!! The color is perfect and the formula is so buttery it just glides on. What I also like about it is that it can work as a blush and a highlight in a pinch.

3. The Balm Mary Lou-Manizer highlighter

Admittedly, this highlighter is a little too bright for my skin. However, it meshes beautifully with my NYX away we glow liquid highlighter in “Gold Rush”. The light shimmer over the bronze tone of the liquid highlighter makes for a beautiful, natural glow.

4. Lisa Frank Limited Edition Eyeshadow

When this arrived, the little girl in me geeked out! Seriously, I loved Lisa Frank’s stationary, sticker, pens, etc. as a child. Who knew that I would get to love it again in adulthood. This golden bronze shadow compliments a variety of looks for day or night. It works well in the crease or all over the lid. Plus, you can never have too many gold shadows.

6. Vasanti Kajal Waterline Eyeliner -Intense Black

I’ve been lining my waterline since I was a teenager. I love the drama lining my lower lash line creates. I also can’t tell you how many times I’ve gotten eyeliner on my eyeball! 😭 It’s nice to have a product that is ophthalmologist approved and tested, as well as paraben free and vegan friendly. So, if it gets in my eye, I’m a little less concerned these days. This liner provides intense color and doesn’t smug (even on my oily face).

7. Hola Neon Velvet Liquid Lipstick in DF

I’m a huge fan of matte lipsticks (which is why I have upwards of 50 of them), so of course I was immediately sold on this product. The color is beautiful and the formula is not overly drying. It’s also long lasting.
